Complete details about the submission of annual returns (FY 2022-23) for first and second quarter returns of FY 2023-24 for Waste Tyre for EPR regime

The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, through its notification dated 21st July 2022, announced the Hazardous and Other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022, for the effective management of waste tyres via the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regime. The amended regulations are effective from 1st April 2022.

In compliance with the norms of Para 7(2) of Schedule - IX of the rules mentioned above, all the registered producers on the Waste Tyre EPR Portal must submit their Annual Returns for the FY 2022-23 and Quarterly Returns for the first & second quarter of FY 2023-24 or on before the month end succeeding the quarter to which the return is associated on the EPR portal. It has been noticed that the producers have not filed their Returns. Non-submission of the Annual and Quarterly Returns within the decided time frame violates the regulations. This will also result in the initiation of actions according to the rules.

The Annual and Quarterly Returns for the First and Second Quarter need to be submitted immediately according to the requirement of the rules on the EPR portal for Waste Tyres.
